(AhlulBayt News Agency) - 103 copies of the holy Quran translated by Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi are to be distributed among Iranian Hajj pilgrims this year.

This is according to Seyyed Javad Mazlumi, cultural deputy of the Supreme Leader’s Center that the existing copies of the Quran in Saudi Arabia do not have Persian translation and the only translated copy is not without deficiencies.

We have planned to provide all the pilgrims with a copy of the holy Quran translated by Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, he added.

Explaining about the administrative process of cultural affairs of Hajj, Mr. Mazlumi noted that the cultural activities related to Hajj ceremony are organized with the help of the cultural council and the pilgrims’ assistants.

“The council which is responsible for organizing and coordinating the caravan’s affairs consists of the caravan’s superintendent, a clergyman, male and female assistants, a physician and the pilgrims’ representative.”

“Also the pilgrims’ assistants are a number of educated and skilled pilgrims who run 10-strong groups of pilgrims each and can be called on for help,” he went on to say.
