The recent visit to Lebanon by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has yielded positive results and made the enemies feel disappointed about the plots they have hatched for isolating Iran, Tehran's provisional Friday Prayers Leader Hojjatoleslam Kazzem Sediqi reiterated.

(AhlulBayt News Agency) - "Enemies sanctioned us in a bid to pretend Iran is isolated but the visit showed that they are themselves isolated," Hojjatoleslam Sediqi said, delivering his second Friday prayers sermon here at Tehran University campus.

Hailing President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's visit to Lebanon, he said the visit had a blessing for the Islamic Republic establishment.

Elsewhere, he appreciated the Iranian Central province of Qom people for their warm welcome to Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei during his visit to the province.

Hojjatoleslam Sediqi assimilated Qom citizens' warm welcome to the Supreme Leader to that of people to the late Imam Khomeini upon his home return in 1979.

'Such a (warm) welcome shows that Imam does not belong to a special guild and is for all people at large,' he said.

He said as the Supreme Leader considered Qom and the seminary important, the people, the clergymen, ulama, seminarians and theologians too took his visit as important, showing unprecedented welcome to him.

The Iranian Supreme Leader started a 9-day visit to Qom on Tuesday. Upon arrival, he was extended an astonishingly warm welcome by tens of thousands people who had been waiting for him for days.

Analysts believe that wide public welcome broadcast live on Iran's state-run TV signifies the highest rate of the Iranian Leader's popularity among the masses of the people from all the different walks of life, and proves the nation's strong relationship and support for the Islamic establishment, insuring the country against possible enemy invasion.
