Ahlul Bayt News Agency ; Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the west is fighting terrorism under the veneer of combat against terrorism and that the only solution for Muslims to the problem is to get united.
Speaking to US ulema and leaders of American Muslim community, the president asked whether it is rational to counter several criminals behind the September 11 attacks by deploying military forces in Afghanistan or invading against Iraq.
"In September 11 attacks they announced that 3000 people were killed and we all regretted the incident because no innocent people should be killed in the world. But who is accountable for more than 110 thousand killed in Afghanistan or 1 million people killed in Iraq," the president regretted.
"Realistically judging, they are fighting with Muslims," he noted.
