Two photo and poster exhibitions showing the life of Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution, are currently underway at Tehran cultural centers.

Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), Tehran -- Two photo and poster exhibitions showing the life of Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Revolution, are currently underway at Tehran cultural centers.

Titled ‘Imam of Sun’, the exhibits are being held at Niavaran and Khavaran cultural centers to commemorate of the late Imam Khomeini’s death anniversary on June 3.

A collection of 70 photos of various stages of Imam’s life, including his struggle against the Shah’s regime, his exile and his return, are on display at Khavaran Cultural Center until June 8. Nivaran photo exhibit will run until June 5.

Iranians annually pay tribute to Imam Khomeini on his death anniversary and this is one of numerous programs that are being held.

Meanwhile, a photo exhibition titled ‘Guidance Torch’ opened in western Kabul on Monday. Seyyed Hossein Mousavi, the exhibit’s organizer, told the same source that the three-day event has been set up by Afghan youth interested in Imam’s ideas.

Fifty photos featuring Imam’s juvenile, the uprising of 15 Khordad, and the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution are on show.

Mousavi said the exhibition’s opening has been warmly welcomed by Afghan students.
