According to Habervakti, participated at the program were political officials and members of parliament of Turkey, Abdulaziz Othman Al-Twaijri, the Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), scholars, intellectuals, representatives of non-government Islamic parties and university lecturers of the world of Islam who stressed the necessity of introducing Islam to the people around the world.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the event, Faruk Çelik, Turkish State Minister said: “globalization will not reach its objectives without Muslims’ presence and cooperation since a large number of population of the world are followers of Islam.”
“The role of Muslims in global interactions is not deniable, the role which some are trying to devalue trough misrepresentation of Islam.
The only way to stand against such threats is to practice religious principles so that the world will be practically acquainted with the true Islam,” he added.
As other lecturer of the meeting, Ahmad Sharif, Secretary General of the World Islamic Call Society referred to Islamic civilization of Turkey saying that: “I’m glad to visit a country which has a considerable part of Islamic civilization in its history. We plan to revive Islamic civilization to reach Islamic unity as our final objective.”
There were also lectures delivered by some of members of the association and a number of intellectuals and Turkish political officials as other part of the meeting.
