Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mihman-Parast said on Sunday that the Canadian government under premiership of Stephen Harper has closed its eyes on Israeli war crimes in Gaza and has adopted double-standard in dealing with global developments.

Canada has given a negative vote to recent UN resolution on crimes and atrocities of the Zionist regime in Gaza.

The negative vote of Canada to the UN resolution in support of rights of native settlers, immigrants and religious minorities are examples of such approach, he said.

He also denounced Ottawa’s support for anti-human crimes of the Zionists which could be observed in the negative vote of Canada to UN Human Rights Commission resolution against Israel on war crimes in Gaza, their negative vote to Goldstone’s report and banning the UN conference on campaign against racial discrimination dubbed as Durban II.

“Unfortunately, the Canadian government has indicated that under such anti-human rights approaches, it has not the right to express its views.”
