AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The President of Brazil, criticizing the inability of global powers to contain the conflicts in the Middle East, called for a change in the approach of the five permanent members of the UN Security Council.
Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, speaking at the international meeting of leaders of progressive movements in Barcelona, while referring to the current tense situation, emphasized that the continuation of this process is unacceptable.
He also implicitly criticized Donald Trump, the former U.S. president, who repeatedly publishes threatening messages against Iran on social media.
Lula said, "We cannot wake up every morning and go to sleep every night, faced with a tweet from a president who threatens the world and declares war."
He further emphasized the necessity of greater accountability from global powers and more effective role-playing in preventing the escalation of crises.
