AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Ismail Baqaei, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said in an interview with Russia's RIA Novosti news agency, "Since the recent brutal aggression against Iran violates the principles of international humanitarian law, all member states of the United Nations must demand that the United States and Israel be held accountable and prosecuted."
Baqaei said, "We must do this, and I think not only Iran but the entire international community demands accountability from the United States and the Zionist regime."
He noted, "What the United States and the Zionist regime have done in their aggression against Iran is a crime against international peace and security. This is a war crime, a crime against humanity."
He recalled, "According to common Article 1 (common and identical to all four Geneva Conventions of 1949), all member states are obliged to respect and ensure respect for international humanitarian law."
Baqaei stated, "This will be the ongoing demand of all Iranians, and we will use all our domestic legal systems as well as international law to hold them accountable for the horrific crimes they have committed against the people of Iran."
