Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, said in an interview, "We cannot ignore the reality that when a country is attacked, there is no guarantee for its security. They have concerns that must be taken into account."
He said, "While we support the position of freedom of navigation, we also urge the major countries and powers to provide guarantees to end that situation—hostility, attacks, and even sanctions against other countries are among these matters."
