AhlulBayt News Agency: Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf and UAE Vice President Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone conversation on Wednesday, reviewing the latest development going on across the region.
According to a statement released by the official Emirati WAM news agency, the talks focused on de-escalating tensions in the region.
The discussion between the two officials comes few days after Pakistani-mediated talks between Iran and the US failed to lead a temporary ceasefire in the US-Israeli-imposed war against Iran into a permanent cessation of the war.
US President Donald Trump claimed Tuesday that the Islamabad talks may resume within two days.
