ABNA24 - The Islamic Republic of Iran Army announced that, in extensive retaliatory strikes, it has targeted petrochemical facilities of the Zionist regime near Dimona in the Israeli-occupied territories, as well as the bases of the US terrorist military in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Iranian Army declared that in response to US-Zionist aggressions against Iran’s petrochemical industry and other infrastructure, a “power generation unit and fuel storage facility of the petrochemical complex” located South of the occupied territories near Dimona was struck by a massive drone attack overnight.

The Iranian Army’s statement added that the strikes also targeted the “US Navy maintenance and repair center at Jebel Ali Port in the UAE,” as well as radar systems and accommodation buildings for US forces at Ahmed al-Jaber Air Base in Kuwait. The Dimona industrial zone holds critical importance for the economy and security of the Zionist regime, housing the regime’s largest chemical complex in the Negev Desert. The power generation unit and fuel storage facility for the petrochemical industry are located in that area, and its chemical materials are used for certain military purposes by the Zionist regime.

The US Navy maintenance and repair center at Jebel Ali Port in the UAE—one of the largest docking ports for US Navy vessels in the region—serves as a key support and repair hub for US fleet vessels.Ahmed al-Jaber Air Base in Kuwait also hosts US military forces, featuring radar systems and hangars capable of accommodating various military aircraft, and is home to the US Air Force’s 332nd Expeditionary Squadron.
