AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): According to Axios, intensive diplomatic efforts are underway to achieve a 45-day ceasefire—a plan that could pave the way for a permanent end to the war. Informed sources have announced that these negotiations are being pursued with the mediation of several regional countries.
Although this media outlet stated that the likelihood of reaching an agreement within the next 48 hours is assessed as low, these efforts may represent the last opportunity to prevent a widespread escalation of hostilities.
Donald Trump, the president of the terrorist U.S. government, had previously announced a ten-day deadline, also claiming negotiations and the possibility of an agreement.
A White House official has confirmed that the 45-day ceasefire plan is only one of the options under consideration and that no final decision has yet been made in this regard.
Axios claimed that behind the scenes, negotiations are being conducted through the mediation of countries such as Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey, and that direct communications have also been established between the U.S. representative and Iran's foreign minister.
According to this plan, the proposed agreement would consist of two stages: first, the implementation of a temporary 45-day ceasefire, and then the commencement of negotiations for a permanent end to the war. If necessary, this ceasefire could be extended.
According to Axios, mediators are attempting to persuade Iran to take limited and temporary measures regarding the Strait of Hormuz and uranium in the first stage, while Tehran is seeking serious guarantees for the other party's adherence to the ceasefire.
