ABNA24 - Senior Iranian cleric Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi has issued a message of gratitude to the Iranian nation, praising their “historic and sacred resistance” over the past forty days against the “front of disbelief and corruption.”
In a statement released on Monday, the revered source of emulation said the scale of the popular mobilization is “unprecedented or at least very rare” in modern history, adding that only God can fully reward such immense sacrifice.
Praise for security forces and resistance front
Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi expressed deep appreciation for the country’s military, law enforcement, security forces, and Basij volunteer forces, as well as rescue workers, medical staff, and grassroots and jihadi groups.
He also highlighted the role of the Axis of Resistance, stating that forces in Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and other Islamic nations have emerged on the battlefield in “astonishing” ways despite heavy pressure and losses. “This is only due to divine power and grace,” the cleric said.
Call for unity and steadfastness
The Grand Ayatollah urged the nation, the armed forces, and officials to maintain unity of word, avoid divisive temptations, and adhere to the guidelines of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
“Now that we stand firm despite various hardships and the offering of abundant blood, and hold the upper hand on the battlefield and in the social arena, the time has come to achieve the final fruit of this struggle,” he stated.
Warning against enemy plots
Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi cautioned that the enemy will intensify pressure in an attempt to weaken resolve, but expressed confidence that the faithful nation’s trust in God and perseverance will once again frustrate and defeat the adversary.
“God Almighty will bestow further blessings upon you and shape a brighter future, God willing,” he said.
Praise for government efforts
The senior cleric also commended the Iranian government, officials, and state institutions for their approach and serious determination in serving the people, preserving livelihoods, and supporting the armed forces both domestically and internationally.
Final emphasis on divine support
Concluding his message, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi stressed that reliance on God and trust in divine promises remain the most important factors for victory. He called on the faithful to turn to prayer and seek the intercession of Imam Mahdi (PBUH), citing Quranic verses: “Indeed, Allah will support those who support Him,” and “If Allah supports you, none can overcome you.”
“Victory comes only from Allah, the Almighty, the Wise.” (Quran 3:126)
