ABNA24 - The Iranian commander of the joint Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Headquarters has said that his forces are ambushing to hunt the enemy’s drones and fighter jets.
Speaking during a visit to the bases of Army and IRGC air defense on Saturday, Brigadier General Alireza Elhami has emphasized that suitable ways have been provided to hunt fighter jets (5th generation) and enemy’s advanced drones using the most modern indigenized warfare equipment.
The recent successes obtained are due to the struggle and self-sacrifices of the air defense forces, especially Army and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) who have been deployed in faraway distances across the country, he underlined.
The brave forces of the country's air defense succeeded in destroying several advanced enemy fighter jets and more than 160 MQ-9, Hermes, Lucas and other types of drones of the US-Israeli enemy, and dozens of cruise missiles, Brigadier General Elhami continued.
Emphasizing that air defense forces are in ambush to hunt enemy’s fighter jets and drones, he added, “Targeting, damaging, and downing of several advanced 4th- and 5th generation of enemy’s fighter jets by the Army and IRGC air defense units is the result of new warfare equipment and innovations of the defense systems of the Armed Forces of the country which has confused the enemy.”/129
