ABNA24 - A number of children are participating in the humanitarian initiative of the Al-abbas's (p) Holy Shrine to provide donations and support to the Iranian and Lebanese people in the aftermath of the recent events and the war in the region.

The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launched its humanitarian campaign to support the Iranian and Lebanese peoples in response to the call of the supreme religious authority in the Eid al-Fitr prayer sermon in Karbala, with the formation of specialized committees to manage this campaign.

The holy shrine opened its doors for collecting donations through its offices in the departments for receiving gifts, vows, endowments, and religious affairs, inside the holy courtyard of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), in addition to the gifts and vows unit for female visitors, and the Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her) center affiliated with the Senior Official's office for women's affairs in the holy shrine.

The holy shrine began receiving donations directly from the first hours of the campaign's launch, amidst widespread interaction from various segments of society, as well as social and charitable institutions and Hussaini processions.

These donations are delivered in coordination between the Office of the Senior Official of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine and the offices of the supreme religious authority inside and outside Iraq, especially in Iran and Lebanon, with the aim of reaching those affected by this crisis to alleviate their suffering.

This campaign comes as an extension of a series of humanitarian initiatives launched by the holy shrine in previous crises, including support for the Syrian people during the 2023 earthquake, as well as aid for the residents of Gaza and Lebanese displaced persons in 2024. It has been present in all fields to fulfilll its humanitarian and ethical duty.
