َإأَ24 - The leaders of Muslim communities from more than 36 European countries expressed support for Iran in the efforts to defend the country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and national dignity.

In a letter addressed to Iranian authorities, including Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian, the European Muslim leaders added, “We strongly condemn any violence against the civilian population and express our solidarity with the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran against the heinous aggression of the Zionist regime.”

The letter reads:

On behalf of the European Muslim Forum, which is a platform for the gathering of leaders of Muslim communities from more than 36 European countries, we are proud to present this letter.

First of all, we would like to extend our most sincere congratulations on the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the arrival of Eid al-Fitr. We ask God Almighty to accept your good deeds, strengthen your good intentions, and bless the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Unfortunately, the holy month of Ramadan and the Eid holidays this year were accompanied by tragic events and an escalation of violence in the Middle East. We express our deep sorrow at the loss of civilian lives, including children, and the damage to educational facilities. We are particularly concerned about the reports of a significant number of civilian casualties, including female students in Minab city, Hormozgan province.

We strongly condemn any violence against the civilian population and express our solidarity with the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran against the heinous aggression of the Zionist regime, which is being carried out with the support of the United States of America. We also received with deep sorrow the news of the assassination of the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei.

For our part, we express our support for the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran in their efforts to defend their sovereignty, territorial integrity and national dignity. We appreciate the steadfastness and fortitude shown and emphasize the importance of maintaining stability and justice in these difficult circumstances.

We believe that current events should not cause division between Iran and its neighbors, especially the countries of the Islamic world. On the contrary, the current challenges require strengthening unity, mutual respect and coordinated efforts for peace and security in the region.

On behalf of the Muslims of Europe, we also wish to emphasize the importance of paying special attention to the protection of Islamic holy sites, especially Al-Aqsa Mosque. Our particular concern is that for the first time in centuries, since the Crusades, access to the Al-Aqsa Mosque for the Eid prayer has been restricted due to the actions of the Zionist side.

In this regard, we call on the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran to include as a key provision in future agreements - which the aggressor countries will be forced to accept - a clause that guarantees the future of the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Specifically, the transfer of its administrative management to the largest international Muslim organization, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which includes the Islamic Republic of Iran and other major Islamic countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, Algeria, Nigeria, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, as well as countries allied with Israel such as the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco. This measure will prevent the closure of this holy place to worshippers and will put an end to the series of provocations by Zionist extremists.

We believe that the implementation of this initiative will demonstrate that the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran are not only defending their sovereignty and territorial integrity, but also safeguarding the honor and dignity of the entire Islamic Ummah and helping to protect the third holiest site in Islam - Al-Aqsa Mosque. This can also draw the international community's attention to the issue of its occupation even more than before and facilitate the process of finding just and lasting solutions to preserve it and prevent the threat of its destruction.

We believe that the coordinated actions of responsible political and spiritual leaders can help strengthen the unity of the Islamic Ummah and seek just solutions for peace, stability and respect for the religious rights of believers.

We take this opportunity to offer our best wishes. We ask God Almighty to grant peace, security, stability and prosperity to the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
