Iran to define new regime for Strait of Hormuz: Advisor to Leader

Iran will define a new regime for the Strait of Hormuz and become a sanctioning power for the hegemonic regime, says Mohammad Mokhber, the advisor to the Leader.

Iran will define a new regime for the Strait of Hormuz and become a sanctioning power for the hegemonic regime, says Mohammad Mokhber, the advisor to the Leader.

Mokhber made the remarks in a meeting with a group of entrepreneurs and businesses on Thursday

Referring to the war of aggression imposed on Iran by the Israeli and US terrorist armies since February 28, he said that one of the most important opportunities arising from the existing situation is the possibility of redefining Iran’s position in the Strait of Hormuz.

“Until today, the West and the hegemonic system have been imposing sanctions on us and restricting us; but after the end of the recent imposed war, by defining a new regime for the Strait of Hormuz, Iran will be promoted from a position subject to sanctions to a powerful position in the region and the world,” he said.

“By using the strategic position of the Strait of Hormuz, we can impose sanctions on them and prevent their ships from passing through this waterway; therefore, one of the results of this war should be the definition of a new regime for the Strait of Hormuz.”

In another part of his remarks, Mokhbar expressed appreciation to the people of Iran for their self-sacrifice in supporting the ongoing sacred defense, saying, “Despite some problems, criticisms, and complaints that people have had and continue to have, in these circumstances everyone is sacrificing their lives, and this is the zeal that exists in the country towards the entire Islamic System, which is very valuable.”
