AhlulBayt News Agency: The head of the Academy of Sciences of Iran has urged Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb, to condemn the US-Israeli “shedding of blood and corruption on Earth.”
Mostafa Mohaghegh Damad made the remarks in a letter on Thursday.

Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar and President of the Assembly of Muslim Scholars,
Peace be upon you and the mercy of God and His blessings, and after:
It is with great sorrow that I inform you of the recent actions taken by the United States government, in support of the Zionist regime, during negotiations with representatives of the Islamic Republic, which resulted in a military attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The wise leader of Iran was martyred during the holy month of fasting, leaving the nation in mourning, as hundreds of innocent children and teenagers were slaughtered in kindergartens, schools, and universities, and their parents left bereft. Medical, research, scientific, and religious centers were destroyed.
As a Muslim and one of your colleagues, I respectfully request that you issue a clear statement condemning this unlawful act, which has only resulted in the shedding of blood and corruption on Earth, in fulfillment of your religious and humanitarian duty. This will ensure that the Muslim world and the international community are made aware.
I pray for your continued honor and the well-being of all Muslims and free people around the world.
