Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov has offered his condolences on the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and a number of Iranian compatriots in the US-Israeli military aggression.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Uzbekistan Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov has offered his condolences on the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and a number of Iranian compatriots in the US-Israeli military aggression.

Speaking in a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi, Saidov extended his condolences on the sad occasion.

Araghchi thanked his Uzbek counterpart for his sympathy and informed him about the latest developments and the crimes of the Zionist regime and the United States against the people of Iran, including targeting residential areas, schools, mosques, hospitals, and relief and public service centers.

He emphasized the firm determination of the government, the people, and the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran to defend the nation’s integrity.

The United States and Israel launched a war of aggression against Iran on Saturday morning by assassinating Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and top military commanders, despite indirect Tehran-Washington negotiations.

Within the framework of its legitimate response, the Iranian Armed Forces immediately initiated decisive missile and drone strikes against US bases in the region and the Israeli-occupied territories.

Ayatollah Khamenei was martyred following an attack by the Israeli regime and the United States on Saturday morning, February 28, 2026.

The Cabinet has declared 40 days of public mourning and seven days of holidays following the martyrdom of the Leader of the Revolution.
