AhlulBayt News Agency: Mohammad Reza Raeuf Sheibani has been appointed as Iran’s new ambassador to Beirut.
Sheibani will succeed Mojtaba Amani, who has served as Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon since 2022. The newly appointed envoy previously held diplomatic posts in Lebanon during the 2006 war, as well as ambassadorial positions in Syria and Libya.
Meanwhile, former Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kan'ani has been named Iran’s new ambassador to Algeria.
