AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): A large rally was organized in Karachi under the banner of Millat-e-Jafaria Pakistan to protest the tragic incident at Khadijat-ul-Kubra Mosque in Tarlai, Islamabad, and to express solidarity with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ali Khamenei. The rally started from Numaish Chowrangi and proceeded to Sea Breeze on M.A. Jinnah Road, with thousands of men and women participating.
In their speeches, the speakers demanded the immediate arrest of those involved in the Khadijat-ul-Kubra Mosque incident and their facilitators, and called for the strictest punishment under the law. They also demanded transparent investigations so that the real facts could be presented before the public.
They stressed that controlling the continued wave of terrorism in the country is the foremost responsibility of state institutions and that the protection of citizens’ lives and property must be ensured at all costs.
The speakers strongly condemned the threats made by the U.S. President against the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, saying such statements are dangerous for regional peace.
They said that Ayatollah Khamenei symbolizes unity and steadfastness in the Muslim world, and any aggression against him could have serious regional consequences.
They added that Iran and Pakistan are brotherly Islamic countries with religious, historical, and strategic ties; therefore, any action against Iran would be seen as harmful to regional stability.
The speakers also claimed that certain global powers are fueling instability in the region and backing disruptive elements against Pakistan.
They said that both Pakistan and Iran possess nuclear capability, and conspiracies against them aim to disturb the balance of power in the region.
Among those who addressed the rally were Allama Nazir Abbas Taqvi, Central Additional General Secretary of Shia Ulema Council; Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi, Central Secretary General of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen; Allama Nisar Qalandari; along with scholars from different schools of thought and representatives of minority communities.
From the Hindu community, Manohj Chohan, and from the Christian community, Pastor Rahmat Lal also expressed condolences over the Tarlai incident and showed solidarity with the victims.
The speakers said that it is essential to expose those responsible for the recent terrorist incidents in Islamabad and emphasized the need for national unity and a joint strategy in this regard.
They stated that Pakistan cannot afford further instability and terrorism, and therefore law enforcement agencies must fulfill their constitutional responsibilities.
Referring to the Gaza Board of Peace, the speakers said that Pakistan should shape its foreign policy by keeping national interests and the broader interests of the Muslim Ummah in mind.
They reaffirmed solidarity with the Palestinian people and called on policy-making institutions to seriously review the current situation.
Participants in the rally carried banners and placards against the Tarlai tragedy and expressed sympathy with the victims. The rally concluded with a collective prayer and a pledge to work for peace and stability in the country.
