AhlulBayt News Agency: Hamas on Sunday condemned the Israeli government’s decision to appropriate large areas of land in the occupied West Bank by reclassifying them as “state lands.”
According to Yemen Press, the movement characterized the measure as a “dangerous escalation,” describing it as a practical step toward the annexation of Palestinian territories.
In a press statement, Hamas said the decision amounts to a “new crime” aimed at uprooting the Palestinian people and stripping them of their historic rights. It added that Israel is employing what it called a “legal façade” to entrench control over Palestinian land and expand settlement activities.
Hamas stressed that any steps taken by Israel to legitimize land seizures are “null and void” and lack legal validity.
The group also warned that such actions could further destabilize the region, affirming that Palestinians will continue to resist what it described as confiscation and annexation plans.
