AhlulBayt News Agency: The Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine held a festival for the age of religious obligation (Takleef) for 1,000 girls from the schools of the Qurna district in Basra Governorate.
The festival was organized by the University and School Relations Division of the Public Relations Department at the Holy Shrine in collaboration with the General Directorate of Education in Basra Governorate as part of the National Al-Kafeel Youth Project and under the slogan: "From the light of Zahra, my veil, and by Zainab, my role model."
A member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Shrine, Dr. Afdhal Al-Shami, said: "The festival included the celebration of 1,000 girls from the schools of the Al-Qurna district, as part of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine's commitment to preserving the identity of the committed Muslim woman, whether through the age of Takleef festivals or graduation ceremonies that befit our daughters."
He confirmed that this activity will continue and expand to include other provinces in the next phase, as part of a vision aimed at instilling religious values and cultural identity among girls in various regions of Iraq.
For his part, the Director of Education in the Qurna district, Mr. Mudar Ata, expressed his gratitude to the Abbasid Shrine for sponsoring and organizing the festival of religious maturity for the female students of the district's schools, pointing out that "this initiative represents an extension of the Shrine's initiatives and its continuous support for activities that care for the emerging generations."
The festival included the honoring of several academic, religious, and social figures, in addition to the contributors to its successful events, in appreciation of their active role in supporting community activities and enhancing their success on both organizational and cultural levels.
