Iran Shifts to Offensive Doctrine After Recent Conflict, Senior Commander Says

Major General Sayyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, said on Wednesday that the country has strengthened its deterrence capabilities by advancing its ballistic missile program across all technical dimensions.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Major General Sayyed Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, said on Wednesday that the country has strengthened its deterrence capabilities by advancing its ballistic missile program across all technical dimensions.

According to Mehr, speaking during a visit to an underground missile facility, Mousavi stated that continuous upgrades to Iran’s missile systems have significantly enhanced the nation’s defensive posture. “By upgrading ballistic missiles in all technical aspects, Iran has been able to strengthen its deterrent power,” he said.

The senior commander added that the armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any hostile action. “We are ready for any move by the enemies,” he emphasized.

Mousavi also noted that following the recent 12‑day conflict, Iran revised its military doctrine, shifting from a purely defensive approach to an offensive posture based on heterogeneous warfare and delivering a crushing response to any aggression.
