AhlulBayt News Agency: The House of the Sciences of Nahj al-Balagha at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine launched a series of weekly Nahj al-Balagha forum lectures according to thematic classification in the province of Dhi Qar.
The inauguration ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from the Senior Official of the Imam Ali (peace be upon him) mosque, where the assembly's lectures are held, Sheikh Haidar Al-Ghazi. He emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to support this blessed project, referring to the recommendation of the supreme religious authority; Sayed Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani, on the importance of acquiring knowledge from Nahj al-Balagha. This was followed by a speech from the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine delivered by the head of the house, Dr. Lewa Al-Attiyah.
Al-Attiyah said: "The house launched a series of Al-Mahfel lectures in the Salhiya area of Dhi Qar Governorate, following the project's inauguration in Karbala and Baghdad last week."
He added that "the majlis is a scientific and intellectual council concerned with studying the book Nahj al-Balagha, which includes the texts attributed to the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), and re-reading it in a realistic manner with the aim of activating it in society."
For his part, Al-Ghazi indicated that the lovers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) are the first to showcase what has been transmitted from the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him), in terms of knowledge, letters, and wisdom aimed at reforming society. He called on the faithful youth in the province to pay attention to this project and attend its weekly lessons.
The ceremony featured a singing segment of verses in praise of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him), and the presentation of texts from the book Nahj al-Balagha, recited by the Holy Quran's memorizer, Sheikh Hani al-Rubaie, along with three memorizers from the city of Naseriyah.
