AhlulBayt News Agency: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced the identification and arrest of members of several terrorist teams operating in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the IRGC said the teams were directed by the Israeli regime, had entered the country through the eastern borders and were stationed in seven units in Zahedan.
The suspects were arrested in a joint operation by the Quds Base of the IRGC Ground Force, the Law Enforcement Command, and the provincial intelligence department.
The statement said the detainees had received specialized training in sabotage and assassination abroad, and that US-made weapons and explosive equipment were seized from them.
