The HIC Youth Girls of Husseini Islamic Center of Orlando organised a Muharram Orientation on Thursday 10 December 2009, bringing together grandmothers, mothers, and youths, to learn about the different aspects of Kerbala and to understand the need for preparation before the month of Muharram set in.
Alhamdulillah, the turnout for the programme was very well attended.
The programme began with Yaseen and Dua-e-Kumayl recited by the youth girls, followed by a brief introduction to the evening’s agenda. There were five stations; each exposing a different motive to preparing for the month of Muharram and a reason behind understanding the Tragedy of Kerbala and the mission of Imam Hussain (a.s.), as not being over, but to the contrary; ever-living.
