Details of 30-minute battle between Israeli aircraft, Yemeni air defenses over Red Sea

Yemeni air defenses successfully thwarted a major Israeli air assault on Hodeida, forcing ten warplanes to withdraw. Aerial engagement over the Red Sea lasted over thirty minutes, with multiple waves of surface-to-air missiles deployed.

AhlulBayt News Agency: A military official from the Sanaa-based forces revealed details of Yemen’s air defense response to an Israeli airstrike on Hodeida province, confirming the operation’s success in repelling a large-scale aerial assault.

The source stated that Yemeni air defenses forced ten Israeli warplanes to retreat following an intense clash, during which the systems demonstrated remarkable effectiveness in countering advanced aerial threats.

According to the official, the skies over the Red Sea witnessed an aerial battle that lasted over thirty minutes, as Yemeni forces launched multiple waves of advanced surface-to-air missiles to intercept the Israeli aircraft.

These missiles were able to lock onto and surround the warplanes, effectively preventing them from completing any of their designated missions, the source said.

He emphasized that the swift and forceful defensive response by Yemeni forces led to the total collapse of the Israeli operational plan.

Well, if the Yemeni air defence security system could thwart Israeli air attack then why the Indian Air defence security system couldn't prevent some Pakistani drones to enter the Indian airspace?
