AhlulBayt News Agency: One person was killed and three others injured in two separate Israeli drone strikes in southern Lebanon. The first attack targeted a civilian vehicle near the Martyr Salah Ghandour roundabout in Bint Jbeil, while the second hit a residential building in Shebaa, wounding one.
These strikes violate the November 27 ceasefire agreement, which required Israeli forces to withdraw from southern Lebanon. However, Israel still maintains military positions at five key border outposts.
Israel claims its operations target Hezbollah, but near-daily attacks have continued since 2023, escalating into full-scale war by 2024. Authorities report nearly 3,000 ceasefire violations, with over 225 deaths and 500 injuries.
The broader conflict has resulted in more than 4,000 deaths, over 17,000 injuries, and the displacement of 1.4 million people. UNIFIL, the UN peacekeeping force, has documented repeated Israeli violations along the border.
Hezbollah’s Secretary General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, condemned the aggression, stating that Israel aims to weaken Lebanon through military and political pressure. He emphasized that Lebanon’s strength lies in its resistance, army, and people.
