AhlulBayt News Agency: A memorial book was opened at the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty to honor the martyrs of recent Israeli and U.S. military aggression. The gesture drew participation from Kazakh officials, foreign diplomats, and academic and cultural figures, signaling growing regional solidarity with Iran.
Sona Ahmadi, Consul General of Iran in Almaty, stated that in response to the crimes committed by the occupying regime against Iran, memorial books were opened at Iranian missions globally. These books served as platforms for political, diplomatic, and academic voices to condemn the attacks and express sympathy.
According to Iran Press, among the participants were diplomats from Russia, China, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, as well as a representative from Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. High-ranking academic and cultural leaders also signed the memorial book, including the President of the Academy of Sciences, the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Al-Farabi University, professors of Iranian studies, the Director of the National Library, and the Head of the Museum of Ethnography.
The event forms part of a broader wave of international condemnation of the recent strikes against Iran, with countries across Asia, Africa, and Latin America increasingly critical of the use of force and civilian casualties. The tribute in Almaty underscores a deepening sense of diplomatic and cultural alignment with the Iranian position amid intensifying geopolitical tensions.
