AhlulBayt News Agency: The Hamas Movement condemned a recent video aired by Al Jazeera that showed an Israeli drone striking a civilian carrying a sack of flour in Gaza City's Shuja’iyya neighborhood, describing it as a “sadistic and brutal act.”
In a statement on Sunday, Hamas claimed the footage captured a moment of a broader daily campaign of violence by Israeli forces against starving civilians amid a blockade allegedly imposed by the government of Benjamin Netanyahu.
The group called the act barbaric and claimed it illustrated an army devoid of morality, committed to violating human dignity and international norms.
The statement accused the Israeli military of having a long history of killing innocent civilians in Gaza, including children, women, and the elderly, framing these actions as severe crimes against humanity.
Hamas urged the global community, its institutions, and all people of conscience to take serious steps to stop what it called continued massacres and to bring Israeli leaders to justice in international courts.
The video showed a young Palestinian walking through northern Shuja’iyya with flour on his back before being directly hit by a missile, as reported by Al Jazeera.
Separately, Gaza’s Government Media Office reported that around 580 people have been killed and over 4,200 injured while waiting for aid amid ongoing Israeli attacks. Thirty-nine are still missing.
The Media Office condemned Israel’s repeated targeting of hungry civilians and accused the occupation army of committing systematic atrocities.
It held Israel and key Western countries—particularly the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany—fully accountable for their roles in the civilian deaths and the broader humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
