AhlulBayt News Agency: The Al-Abbas's (p) Shrine has opened registration for performing the Ziyarat Ashura on behalf of those registered on the Ziyarat by Proxy page on the Al-Kafeel Global Network.
The head of the Holy Shrine's Sayed Servants Division, Mr. Hashim Al-Shami, said: A group of the shrine's Sayed servants will perform a daily Ziyarat to Imam Aba Abdullah Al-Hussayn and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon them), on behalf of those registered on the Ziyarat by Proxy page on the Al-Kafeel Global Network. This includes reciting the Ziyarat Ashura and praying two Rak'aat with the intention of praying for those registered.
He added that "the Ziyarat that will be recited is the Ziyarat Ashura, through which Imam al-Hussayn (peace be upon him) is visited from a distance or close by. Through it, the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) remember what befell their Imam, his family, and his companions in Karbala on the day of Ashura. It is attributed to Imam al-Baqer (peace be upon him) and holds a special status. Its recitation is recommended at many times, especially in the month of mourning, the month of Muharram al-Haram. It is accompanied by the Ziyarat of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), and after completing them, two Rak'ats prayer are performed with the intention to fulfil needs, facilitate matters, and ward off calamities of those registered."
Al-Shami explained, "These rituals begin on the first day of Muharram and continue until the ninth day, culminating in the special Ziyarat on the tenth day to Imam al-Hussayn and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) at their holy shrines."
