AhlulBayt News Agency: Munir al-Bursh, Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, has accused Israel of turning humanitarian aid distribution centers into deadly traps, deliberately targeting and displacing starving Palestinians.
According to IRNA, in a statement on Sunday, al-Bursh revealed that individuals arriving at hospitals in Rafah following Israeli attacks had suffered gunshot wounds to the head or chest, reinforcing concerns that Israeli forces are systematically killing civilians.
He further warned of an escalating medical crisis in Gaza, as Israeli authorities continue to block the entry of nearly 3,000 critical medical devices and equipment through the Egyptian border crossing at al-Arish. The lack of medical supplies, combined with shortages of medicines and vaccines, has heightened the risk of disease outbreaks. Al-Bursh pointed to a surge in cases of diarrhea and meningitis, stressing that ninety percent of Gaza’s population is grappling with severe water insecurity.
Meanwhile, the Hamas movement issued a statement condemning the latest Israeli attack on an aid distribution center in Rafah, which resulted in the deaths of at least 32 Palestinians and left many others injured. The group denounced the assault as yet another massacre in Israel’s ongoing military campaign in Gaza.
