AhlulBayt News Agency - The United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power, on Friday (June 3, 2016) called for the release of Bahrain opposition leader and Al-Wefaq Secretary-General Sheikh Ali Salman, who was recently sentenced by an appeals court to 9 years in prison.
"In doubling sentence for oppo leader Sheikh Ali Salman, #Bahrain doubles down on repression. He should be freed," said Power in a tweet she posted on her official Twitter account.
