Jaysh Al-Islam militants capture Misraba in rural Damascus after a violent battle with Syrian Al-Qaeda group

Just six hours after launching their offensive at Misraba in the East Ghouta region, Jaysh Al-Islam (Army of Islam) has imposed full control over this town after a violent battle with other rebel groups.

AhlulBayt News Agency - Just six hours after launching their offensive at Misraba in the East Ghouta region, Jaysh Al-Islam (Army of Islam) has imposed full control over this town after a violent battle with Faylaq Al-Rahman, Jaysh Al-Fustat, and Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group).

The death toll from the battle is still unknown; however, the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) alleges that as many as 50 fighters were killed by Jaysh Al-Islam on Saturday morning.

Jaysh Al-Islam has now expanded its buffer-zone around the strategic city of Douma in the East Ghouta; this was important because its southern flank was exposed to Faylaq Al-Rahman and their allies.
