AhlulBayt News Agency - The Spiritual Board of Muslims of Moscow announced a charity fundraiser in the city's mosques and communities for the family of the four-year-old girl who was brutally killed by a nanny on Monday.
"The funds raised by the thousands of people who go to Moscow mosques and communities for prayer on Fridays will go to the girl's relatives," the muftiat press service told Interfax.
The report says this fundraising event "will be a symbol of spiritual unity in the face of the grief of a whole family and all Russian society, which is deeply shocked."
The Muslims regret that this crime, "which is beyond understanding from the point of view of both universal human morals and religion, is being presented as committed by a person who regards herself as a Muslim."
"Not only the fact that the woman has officially been found to be insane, but also the fact that life is holy to believers, leave no doubt that the morals of the person who killed an innocent child are endlessly far from being truly religious."
The decapitated body of a four-year-old girl was found in a Moscow apartment on February 29 as a fire was being extinguished there. The girl's nanny Gyulchekhra Bobokulova, 38, an Uzbek native, was later detained near the metro station Oktyabrskoye Pole. She was walking around with the girl's head in her hand, shouting some Arabic words and threatening to blow herself up. She later confessed to the crime and participated in an investigative experiment at the crime scene
