Member of Freedom Flotilla III International Coalition to break the siege on Gaza, Anwar al-Gharbi strongly slammed the Israeli threats to prevent Flotilla’s expected arrival in Gaza in a few hours.
Al-Gharbi said these threats indicate an Israeli intention to commit an illegal crime by preventing peaceful solidarity people from doing their humanitarian duties toward the besieged Gazan people.
In a statement to Quds Press al-Ghabri undermined the Israeli threats and opined that they point to the Israeli preparedness to commit a crime against the international law which guarantees freedom of movement and humanitarian solidarity.
He called on the international community and human rights organizations to shoulder their responsibilities in terms of protecting Flotilla III and the participants onboard as well as halting the Israeli violation of international laws on protecting the movement of civilians and visiting the besieged people in Gaza.
Israel earlier announced that its army will not allow Flotilla III to reach Gaza and orders have been given to competent authorities in order to stop the convoy and prevent its arrival in the regional water of Palestine.
