AhlulBayt News Agency: Preparations have begun for the upcoming ‘religious educational conference’ in Mumbai's major Shia Muslim-populated areas. The conference is scheduled to take place from May 22 to 25, 2025, in Mira Road, Mumbra, Mughal Masjid, and Govandi, under the auspices of Tanzeemul Makatib.
The convoy from Tanzeemul Makatib, departed from Lucknow on May 13, reached the local office on Hazrat Abbas Street in Dongri, Mumbai, on or after May 14. After attending to necessary matters, an emergency meeting was convened, which continued until 2 a.m.
In the meeting, various strategies were discussed to make the upcoming conferences at different venues more impactful and message-oriented. Plans were also considered to ensure maximum participation of the Shia community.
Several important decisions were taken in the meeting, among which the most significant was the plan for ‘educational visits to each neighborhood’.
This special meeting was attended by Maulana Syed Safi Haider, Secretary of Tanzeemul Makatib; Maulana Syed Sabih Hussain, Vice President; Maulana Syed Naqi Askari, Joint Secretary; and Maulana Syed Hussain Jafar Wahb, member of the Administrative Council.
In addition, several experienced inspectors and senior scholars were present, including Maulana Ghulam Mehdi Maulai, In-charge of the Makatib Department; Maulana Tawqeer Hussain, Maulana Ejaz Hussain, Maulana Ghazi Raza Naqvi, Maulana Kaifi Sajjad, and Maulana Mohammad Sadiq Ma’roofi, along with many other distinguished personalities.
