A new exhibition in Guangzhou displays 151 Iranian masterpieces, offering Chinese audiences an immersive journey through Iran’s artistic and cultural legacy. The event highlights the historical ties between Iran and China, reinforcing their shared heritage along the Silk Road.

AhlulBayt News Agency: A new exhibition at the Guangzhou City Museum presents 151 masterpieces from Iran’s museum collections, offering Chinese audiences an immersive experience of Iranian civilization. The exhibition highlights the artistic achievements of a culture spanning five millennia and strengthens historical and cultural ties between Iran and China along the ancient Silk Road.

Chinese visitors have praised the exhibition’s rich cultural narrative and expressed hope for future opportunities to explore Iran’s heritage firsthand. Major media outlets, including Xinhua, have commended the collection’s magnificence and diversity, describing the exhibition as “a bridge between two ancient civilizations.”

For over 1,200 years, Iran and China have exchanged artistic influences along the Silk Road. Samanid lustre-ware inspired Tang ceramics, while Persian vegetal scrolls influenced Yuan and Ming porcelain painters. This exhibition revives the shared techniques and motifs that have shaped both civilizations.
