AhlulBayt News Agency: Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, has reaffirmed the combat and operational readiness of Iran’s Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) naval units in response to potential threats.
During a ceremony on Monday, Bagheri visited Iranian Army and IRGC naval units stationed along the Persian Gulf and the northern tip of the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
The event was attended by top-ranking military officials, including Chief Commander of the Iranian Army, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, and IRGC Chief Commander, Major General Hossein Salami.
Bagheri emphasized Iran's strong intelligence capabilities, operational planning, and combat readiness, asserting that the Armed Forces are fully prepared for various scenarios.
“Our advice to those who threaten the establishment is: A conflict initiated against Iran will not be within your control. The Islamic Republic will determine its outcome,” he warned.
He further noted that operational plans had been thoroughly reviewed during his visit, ensuring that the Iranian military remains in peak condition regarding training, strategic maneuvers, and readiness.
“In case of any hostile act against Iran’s sovereignty, our Armed Forces possess the capability and readiness to respond decisively,” Bagheri stated.
Iranian officials maintain that the country will continue strengthening its military capabilities, including missile defense, which they assert is intended solely for defensive purposes.
