AhlulBayt News Agency: Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), has unveiled a 20-year strategic plan for the nation's nuclear sector, emphasizing that uranium enrichment symbolizes both Iran’s national independence and strength.
Speaking at a ceremony on Monday, Eslami highlighted the strategic significance of nuclear energy in advancing national development and addressing key challenges across various industries.
According to IRNA, he stated that Iran’s nuclear industry reinforces the Islamic Republic, an achievement that global powers aim to weaken. “They do not want a country like Iran—with its skilled population, rich natural resources, and strategic global position—to have access to the tools of power,” Eslami remarked.
The AEOI chief further noted that Iran's nuclear program has now reached an industrial phase, marking a pivotal step in fulfilling national demands and executing its long-term vision.
Addressing international scrutiny, Eslami underscored that Iran has undergone the most extensive inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) while maintaining full transparency in its nuclear activities. He asserted that these measures were taken to counter political allegations and to ensure continued progress in the country’s nuclear industry.
