AhlulBayt News Agency: The Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli war against the Gaza Strip has risen to 52,365, with 117,905 others wounded since October 7, 2023.
In its daily report on Tuesday, the ministry revealed that Gaza hospitals received 51 bodies, including one recovered from under the rubble, and treated 113 injuries in the past 24 hours due to the continued Israeli attacks.
The ministry further detailed that since Israel resumed its military operations on March 18, 2,273 Palestinians have been killed and 5,864 injured, bringing the total number of casualties over the past 18 months to 170,270, including both martyrs and wounded.
It also noted that many victims remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed homes and on roads, as ambulance and civil defense teams are unable to reach them due to the intensity of the attacks.
The report highlighted that the first phase of a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement, initiated on January 19, 2025, with Egyptian and Qatari mediation and U.S. support, ended in early March. However, on March 18, Israel violated the agreement and resumed its military campaign against Gaza, despite Hamas’s adherence to all terms of the ceasefire.
