No innocent's house should be demolished - J&K Ex CM

She said that indiscriminate actions against civilians weaken our fight against terrorism. The government must ensure that innocent Kashmiris do not bear the brunt of anti-terrorism operations.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Mehbooba Mufti, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and President of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), urged the Indian government to distinguish between militants and innocent civilians. She said that indiscriminate actions against civilians weaken our fight against terrorism. The government must ensure that innocent Kashmiris do not bear the brunt of anti-terrorism operations.

Mehbooba Mufti expressed concern over the thousands of arrests in Kashmir and the demolishing of homes of ordinary citizens alongside militants' properties. She warned that if such extensive measures are not carried out with caution, it could risk isolating innocent Kashmiris and escalating anger.

Indiscriminate actions against civilians weaken our fight against terrorism. The government should ensure that innocent Kashmiris do not suffer due to anti-terrorism campaigns. Separation only helps those who thrive on division.

Mufti urged the government to direct security forces and officials to adopt targeted, evidence-based operations, prioritizing the protection of human rights and the dignity of citizens.
