AhlulBayt News Agency: The Al-Kafeel Museum of treasures and Manuscripts at the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine discussed ways to enhance joint cooperation with the Askariyayn Holy Shrine Museum to complete the steps that contribute to the opening of the latter.
This came during the visit of the assistant head of the Al-Kafeel Museum Department, Dr. Shawqi al-Mousawi, and his accompanying delegation to the Askariyayn Holy Shrine Museum, and to meet with its officials.
"The meeting with the staff of the al-Askariyayn holy shrine museum came in order to enhance cooperation between the two sides, complete its outputs to enhance the steps that contribute to its opening, in addition to discussing the possibility of creating a program for the maintenance of holdings, introducing the staff in specialized courses, and viewing the sites dedicated to the museum's exhibition hall and its designs,"al-Mousawi said.
"The cooperation between the two holy shrines will continue for the opening of the al-Askariyayn Holy Shrine museum, which will be an important document for the existing holdings, as well as cooperation on the cultural side,"he added.
For his part, the head of the museum and treasures unit at the Askariyayn Holy Shrine, Mr. Zain al-Abidin Naim, said: "the discussion with the delegation of the Al-Kafeel museum for treasures and manuscripts resulted in reviewing the steps of the museum's opening, reviewing the stored collections and the location of the exhibition hall.
He added," the Al-Kafeel museum has experience in this field, and includes scientific and professional staff, and has partnerships with international museums, "stressing that"the museum held a training course in the maintenance of holdings and storage methods for the Askariyayn Shrine museum staff, within the framework of cooperation between the two sides."
The Al-Kafeel Museum of treasures and manuscripts had earlier signed a joint cooperation agreement with the museum holy shrine of Imam al-Hadi and Imam al-Askari (peace be upon them), in which a training course was organized for a number of the staff of the Askariyayn Shrine Museum, which included the basics of museology and lasted for five days; to develop the efficiency of the staff of the Askariyayn Shrine Museum, and enhance technical cooperation between the two sides.
