AhlulBayt News Agency: Social activists in Bahrain held a sit-in protest in the capital of the country to express their solidarity with Palestine.
The protesters also called for boycotting the Israeli regime over the massacre of Palestinians.
The sit-in was held a few days after the Israeli atrocities in the Gaza Strip that led to the martyrdom of hundreds of Palestinians.
The participants gathered in the October 7 Square in Manama’s Adliya Neighborhood to condemn the Israeli crimes.
They carried banners reading “Palestine is my cause”, among others.
Also, a Bahraini organization named the Bahrain National Initiative against Normalization with the Zionist Enemy, issued a statement stressing the need for an end to the Israeli attacks on Gaza.
It called for severing ties with the Tel Aviv regime and boycotting companies that support it.
The statement, also signed by 27 other institutions and societies in Bahrain, reiterated the unchanging stance of the Bahraini people in support of Palestinians.
It called on the Manama government to listen to the people of the country and shut the Israeli embassy in Bahrain.
The Israeli military launched a surprise aerial assault on the Gaza Strip on March 18, killing over 1,200 people, injuring more than 3,000 others, and shattering the ceasefire agreement with the resistance movement Hamas and the deal on the exchange of Israeli captives for Palestinian prisoners.
According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, at least 50,669 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, and 115,225 other individuals have been injured in the brutal Israeli military onslaught on Gaza since October 7, 2023.
