AhlulBayt News Agency: Adopting a global perspective is necessary when presenting Quranic teachings, says a senior Iranian cleric and Quran interpreter.
Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi Amoli highlighted the esteemed position of the Quran in human and societal life during his message to the National Conference on the Scientific Authority of the Quran, held in Qom on Thursday.
In a video message to the conference, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the attending scholars and researchers. He stated, "The Quran is not only a scientific book that is researched, but it also aids humanity and is a source of life."
Referring to verse 24 of Surah Al-Anfal, "Respond to Allah and His Messenger when He calls you to that which gives you life," he emphasized that the Quran is truly a source of life.
"This life is not merely a superficial concept but relates to the essence of human nature, and the Quran plays a significant role in this essence," he added.
The Quranic scholar stressed the need for producing enduring and globally relevant scientific works. "We must create works that become textbooks for future generations, not just articles that are set aside after reading," he said.
In another part of his message, Ayatollah Javadi Amoli urged scholars to think globally when presenting Quranic teachings. "The Quran is a book for all humanity, and its message must be universal. If we speak globally, we must also think globally," he stated.
