AhlulBayt News Agency: Hamas Movement condemned on Sunday the Israeli occupation’s approval of six settlement plans to expand already existing Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
These plans constitute a new violation of the international conventions that criminalize settlement activity, the Movement said.
"We confirm that the Israeli occupation's settlement policy will not legitimize the Israeli occupation, nor will it stop the Palestinian people from continuing their freedom struggle against it until liberation and return," the Hamas statement added.
Earlier Saturday, the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) approved six plans to expand a group of illegal settlements in the West Bank.
The Settlement and Wall Resistance Commission said that the IOA approved the building of 543 housing units for Jewish settlers in different West Bank settlements.
The Commission also pointed to another Israeli plan to expand the illegal settlement of Vered Yericho, which was built on Palestinian lands annexed from the towns of Aqabat Jabr and Nabi Musa in Jericho.
