Israeli police kill Palestinian youth after alleged stabbing incident

Israeli police officers shot and killed a 20-year-old Palestinian youth in the Old City of Occupied al-Quds on Thursday morning after he allegedly stabbed two policemen.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Israeli police officers shot and killed a 20-year-old Palestinian youth in the Old City of Occupied al-Quds on Thursday morning after he allegedly stabbed two policemen.

Hebrew media reported that Amer Halabia, from Abu Dis in Occupied al-Quds, carried out a stabbing attack that injured two policemen while a third was wounded by “friendly fire” near the Bab al-Majlas, one of the Aqsa Mosque’s gates.

Family sources said that Halabia was an engineering student at the Bir Zeit University.

Israeli police said in a terse statement that three policemen were injured in the incident, including one with a bullet in his leg by "friendly fire”, adding that their conditions were not serious.
