AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): About 25,000 Muslim worshipers performed Friday prayer in the courtyards of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem) amid strict Israeli military measures at its gates.
The Department of Islamic Endowments in Occupied al-Quds said in a press statement that since the early morning hours, almost 25,000 citizens from the 1948 occupied lands, the West Bank, and al-Quds reached the Mosque and performed Friday prayer in its courtyards despite the very cold weather.
Meanwhile, the Israeli police imposed tight restrictions on worshipers' entry and denied dozens of them from reaching the holy site under flimsy pretexts.
Earlier in the morning, thousands performed dawn prayer at the holy site despite Israeli restrictions.
The Aqsa Mosque is exposed to daily desecration by Jewish settlers and police forces in the morning and the afternoon except on Fridays and Saturdays.
