AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Fanatic Jewish settlers provoked on Saturday morning Palestinian worshipers near Al-Aqsa Mosque in al-Quds’ Old City by holding Talmudic prayers outside the main gate leading to the Muslim holy site.
Eyewitnesses said that around 25 extremist Jewish settlers gathered outside Bab al-Asbat (Lions Gate) that leads straight into the walled Al-Haram Al-Sharif that encompasses Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, the third holiest site in Islam, and held prayer there under Israeli police protection as Muslims were arriving at the Mosque for the noon prayers.
Palestinian worshippers responded by chanting Takbeer, but no clashes were reported.
Last week, Israel's Knesset had issued a recommendation to the education ministry to include teachings about the so-called Jewish history during field trips to the holy Islamic site in Occupied al-Quds' Old City in school curricula.
